Where to begin. What have I been doing? Can't give you a blow by blow but I will name the highlights. In August Paul came home from China for three weeks. Yeah! We were able to take a family vacation to Lake Placid. I should clarify, it was a somewhat family vacation. Lara stayed home to continue to make money for her trip and take care of the dogs. We did miss her. Lake Placid was wonderful. This was the first trip where we actually vacationed before the lacrosse games began. On the trip up we stopped in Saratoga Springs and met up with Garret. Then it was onto Lake Placid. We walked/climbed one of the 46 peaks, Phelps Mountain. Alex and Garret added two more to their count down to climb all 46. We shopped in Lake Placid and we walked the Ausable Chasm. Leslie and Jack joined us for the early part of the week and then on Wednesday the games began. After Lake Placid Alex began preseason for her RPI Field Hockey team, Paul left for China and Lara left for Australia. Whew. I was looking forward to having some "alone" time but then the contractor moved in... or so it seemed. I thought it was a small project but he was here three weeks. So alone time was out of the question. More on all this later.
