21st annual irish pub tour de shore

Yesterday, Paul and I rode with 800 other bikers in the 21st Annual Irish Pub Tour de Shore. We started the trip at 7:30 am at the Irish Pub in Philly and finished at the Irish Pub in Atlantic City at 2:00. In AC we were treated to a buffet of hamburgers and hot dogs and beer and music. It was a beautiful day, a beautiful day for the beach that is. It was in the 90's with high humidity and strong winds. Let's just say I was happy to see the banners at the AC Irish Pub.

3 Day Update

Today Leslie and I walked with Shirley and her Sunday morning group. We toured West Chester and ended up at the DK Diner for breakfast. Yumm!

i'm walking in the 3-day

I have just signed up to participate in the Breast Cancer 3-Day in Philadelphia, October 17-19. Over the past three years I have either crewed or volunteered. The years I crewed I missed Alex's field hockey games so this year I was prepared to miss the 3-day. But as fate would have it, the 3-Day was moved to another weekend and Alex has no games the weekend it moved to. What is meant to be is meant to be. So I am walking. Check out my 3-day website by clicking on the 3-day logo to the left. I am very excited and have started the training by walking the dogs 2-3 miles a day. That may not really be a good training tool because strong arm muscles are not really required in the 3-day. I will keep you up to date with my progress. Check out my blog from October 07 for pictures from that years event. Wish me luck!
